# Accountant – Travel Company

**Job Summary:**
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to manage the company’s financial transactions, maintain accurate accounts, and support day-to-day financial operations in the travel business.

### Key Responsibilities

* Maintain daily accounting records and financial transactions.
* Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
* Prepare invoices, receipts, vouchers, and payment records.
* Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
* Maintain records of travel bookings, customer payments, refunds, and supplier/vendor payments.
* Verify travel-related expenses and supporting documents.
* Manage cash and bank transactions.
* Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budgeting.
* Maintain proper records for GST, TDS, and other tax-related requirements.
* Coordinate with travel agents, hotels, airlines, and other vendors regarding payments and invoices.
* Follow up on outstanding customer and vendor balances.
* Assist management and auditors with financial information and documentation.

### Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
* 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a travel, tourism, or service company.
* Knowledge of **Tally/ERP and MS Excel**.
* Basic understanding of **GST and TDS**.
* Good numerical, organizational, and communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

### Preferred Skills

* Experience handling travel-company accounts.
* Knowledge of airline/hotel/vendor billing.
* Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines.
* Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
